Decoupaged Mason Jar
There is something so glamorous about a makeup vanity. It’s a place where women put on their cosmetic armor before going out to conquer the day. It’s also the place where they take said armor off, stripping down to their bare selves before engaging in lengthy rituals of self-care.
Today I am going to share my idea of making the decoupaged mason jar for my vanity tray which is easy to make and add charm to your vanity tray.
Step one:-
Clean the jar with glass cleaner and wipe up with clean dry cloth.
Start painting the jar from the bottom. You can start from the top also it’s up to your choice. I used acrylic white paint.
Putting the paint on jar is a good choice in decoupaged process as it gives solid base to your design. Apply 2-3 Coates of paint on to the jar.
Step four:-
Now take the printed tissue paper of your choice and cut out the specific parts you want to print on your jar. For me it’s flowers and the Eiffel Tower so I cut out from tissue paper.
Now separate the layers of your cut outs and apply the thin layer of printed tissue paper.
Step six:-
Place the printed tissue paper on the jar and apply PVA glue or mod podge on cut outs. It will help the tissue paper to stick on the jar.
No one can judge that the jar’s design is made from paint, tissue paper and glue. This project need some time to complete but the end result is really nice.
